Designed with her dog in mind . . . This project on City Park Road near Lake Austin uses sleek and contemporary design and native Texas materials. It was designed with the homeowner's desire to spend time outside with her dog and to entertain guests. The light coloration of the stone and deck are cool in the extreme Texas heat and create a striking contrast to the rich blue of the water and glass tile. The shade structure allows you to keep cool when not in the water and still experience the sights and sounds of the endless water of the negative edge and the dramatic waterfall created from the raised spa spillover. The flow from the house to the outdoor kitchen, the spa, the pool and finally the sitting area with an outdoor fireplace is seamless. Designed with details to delight, including: towel warming drawers, frosted grey-blue glass tile, and last but not least, for the water-loving-dog, easy-fetch, get-out steps.
