Westlake Suspended Pool

This contemporary infinity edge pool and spa was suspended high above a canyon with no visible support below the pool. This was a collaborative effort with Austin Water Designs and a team of architects and engineers to achieve the vision of the home builder, Gary Robinson. Access was a steep hillside and required the use of a crane for delivery of materials and equipment to the site.

This pool won a GOLD International Design award.

The materials used on this project were similar to the house. Native limestone was used throughout the house and continued out to the pool area to bring the outdoors into the home environment. A high sheen granite and glass tiles were used on the pool and spa surfaces, also reflecting similar materials used in the home. Color changing lights were added as a finishing touch to allow the client to change the mood of the outdoor environment.
